Cognos Voted Number One Vendor by UK Software Users


LONDON, England, October 17, 2007 – Cognos (NASDAQ: COGN; TSX: CSN), the world leader in business intelligence and performance management solutions, has won the BI/Corporate Performance Management Software category at the Business Software Satisfaction Awards 2007, hosted by Sift Media.

Cognos came top in the category, competing against Business Objects, Hyperion, Adaptive Planning and Inca Planning. Its software ranked highest overall, but scored particularly well for ease-of-use, based on the views and opinion of 2,000 software users in the UK.
